Always a winner that reminds me of food mum used to leave when we came home from school. Quick, easy, healthy and very tasty.
Start by putting the pasta onto boil and frying bacon until brown, add some butter or oil to the pan once the bacon is looking good add add 2tbsp of plain flour and stir. The slowly add milk, the flour will act as a thickener. Keep adding milk gradually while slowly until the sauce looks thick/thin enough. If you would like add some grated cheese to the sauce for a bit of va-va-voom! The add some broccoli or any other veg that will boil in 5 minutes and keep mixing the sauce on a medium heat. Add lots of pepper, no salt (bacon is already pretty salty),1tsp of nutmeg and stir. Add the pasta once cooked, mix it all together and enjoy!
P.S Not the size of my bowl, my boyfriends impressive amount of carbs while rowing!
