‘Fish in a bag’ with Mash and Green Beans

Haddock, Mash and Green Beans

Fish in a bag, it is a great invention! Normally white fish with a buttery herby sauce. You can make it yourself but for ease I bought a frozen haddock version which is very lazy but also very yummy and has thee added bonus of reminding me of my dads cooking (which didn’t happen too often!)
Start by peeling a chopping up one potato into chunks, put it onto boil for 15-20 minutes or until when prodded with a knife the potato slides off. At this stage put the fish on to cook, I bought the Sainsbury’s version and it needs to be microwaved for 4 minutes, also put the beans on to boil. To make the mash drain the potatoes when they are soft, add a knob of butter and a splash of milk and mash away. Add more milk if it is too thick and salt and pepper. Serve the fish with thee sauce over the mash and enjoy.
