Apple and Raisin Crumble

Cooking apples, raisins, sugar, plain flour, butter, oats

Sorry for the poor quality of the photo, forgot to take one until after I had started eating!

Preheat the oven to 180c. Peel 3 cooking apples, core and cut into chunks. Put into a saucepan on a medium heat with 50gm of sugar and a splash of water and slowly let the fruit to stew. While the fruit is stewing make the topping. Mix 100gm of butter at room temperature with equal quantities of flour and sugar and a few oats, rub together until the mix looks like breadcrumbs. If it is too dry add some more butter. Put the fruit and a sprinkle of raisins in the bottom of an oven proof dish, top with the crumble and cook for 20 minutes.
